Abstract :
Frequency analysis of RR-intervals from ambulatory ECG recordings requires a detailed inspection of the input-data, especially because of the presence of noise and arrhythmias. The HRV-Explorer was developed to view, browse and analyze tachograms in the time as well as the frequency domain. The input to the HRV-Explorer is a documented series of RR-intervals, provided by an arrhythmia analysis package. The HRV-Explorer is written in C++, runs on a UNIX work-station using X-Windows, through menus and pop-up windows and is completely mouse-driven. All parameters (e.g. filter parameters) for the tachogram analysis are accessible through menus. The object-oriented nature of the package enables the easy implementation of new procedures
