  • Abstract
    A Ka-band reflectarray element integrated with solar cells is designed in this paper. The electromagnetic characteristics of a specific type of solar cells as reflectarray antenna substrates are analyzed and measured. The performance of the integrated reflectarray element under different incident waves is studied. The presented technique integrates solar cells and high gain antennas into one component on satellite, providing much convenience and flexibility for satellite design.
