Abstract
As the processor and memory performance has been dramatically increased, the I/O subsystem has appeared to be the bottleneck in modern computers. As a result, network disk array systems serve as one of the strategies to provide better performance than current disk systems have been investigated. This work demonstrates how to setup a Network Disk Array Management System to manage and control the LAN disks by using web interfaces. This system can help complete the resource management of network distributed storage and virtual storage. This system also simplified the configuration and management of the software RAID technology. The evaluation shows this system can reasonably increase the performance of RAID system.
