Abstract :
Give chrome shavings an alkaline treatment using CaO and MgO together to extract the gelatin. Then protein polypeptide is extracted by hydrolyze the residue, which is left in the first step, with 1398 neutral proteinase. The best process condition is that when the usage of CaO is 3% (base on the mass of chrome shavings), MgO is 3%, H2O is 300%, hydrolysis temperature is 80°C, and the reaction time is 4h, The extraction efficiency of the gelatin is more than 40%; When the quantity of the Enzymes is 0.125%, and the hydrolysis temperature is 46°C, the extraction efficiency of the protein polypeptide can reach to 20%. The quantity of Cr2O3 in both gelatin and protein polypeptide are lower than 50mg/kg, and the content of ashes is lower than 2%.
