Abstract :
Electromagnetic radiation patterns are commonly visualized in 3D graphics to facilitate the design of antennas. Existing software are often proprietary and lack of interactive navigation capability for web users. A direct web-based visualization system with real-time interactive rendering capability can benefit EM education and facilitate research and development cycles significantly. This study demonstrates a pilot HTML5 deployment using WebGL-based browser with 3D graphics rendering power for electromagnetic data visualization. Detailed deployment method and exemplar rendering results are presented. The pilot deployment assures the future direction of cloud-based EM computation and web-based visualization.
