Abstract :
In this paper, an all-textile circular patch antenna with corrugated ground for body surface wave is proposed. The proposed antenna is made of textile materials (conductive fabric, conductive thread, and felt substrate) and has monopole-like radiation characteristic in the industrial, scientific, and medical 5.8 GHz band. In order to enhance the radiating field along the surface of human body for proper on-body communication, corrugated ground is adopted. The proposed antenna has a radius of 90 mm and a thickness of 7 mm.
