Abstract :
An efficient method for near maximum likelihood decoding of the Golay [23,12,7] code is presented. This method is based on BCH decoding techniques but decodes to the true minimum distance of 7. This decoding algorithm is also applicable for decoding other nonprimitive binary BCH codes to their true minimum distance
