  • Abstract
During poultry processing, abundant of waste feather is produced, which is valuable for its high protein content. After the pretreatment, the feather is hydrolyzed to be polypeptide under alkali conditions. The best process condition is that when the usage of NaOH is 12% (base on the mass of dry feather), the amount H2O is 8 times of the feather, hydrolysis temperature is 100°C, and the reaction time is 2.5h, The extraction efficiency of the polypeptide is more than 85.3%; the mass ratio of polypeptide condensed liquor (calculated as hydrolysis liquid with 30% mass ratio) and oleoyl chloride is 5∶1, the protein-anionic surfactant could be produced with condensed reaction. The appearance of the product is yellowish sticky liquor, the CMC is 0.4 g/L, and the surface activity is excellent.
