Abstract
Spin fusion ultrasound imaging is introduced. In this approach, multiple images of the same slice section of an object are taken with equal angular displacement at each step. A full view of slice image is obtained by combining all the images. The potential advantages of this approach include reduction of speckle noise, reduction of shadowing and attenuation effects, improvement of overall resolution and improved 360° visualization. This image modality can be particularly useful in small animal laboratory research and human extremities, where there is easy full 360° acoustic access
