Abstract :
With the help of cyclotomy we determine the number of all duadic codes of prime lengths and present an algorithmic construction of all such codes. We establish a hierarchy for all such duadic codes according to their cyclotomic order and discuss their automorphism groups. Some weights in binary duadic codes are also determined with the help of cyclotomic numbers. Finally, we study cyclotomic duadic codes of different orders
