Abstract
Based on the 3D reconstruction model and surgery planning getting from dealing with the skull and fibular CT images of a male patient aged 22 with mandibular tumor, tumor excision and repair mandible is to carried out using the fibula. The patient CT data is imported into Mimics software and then the 3D geometric date of the maxilla, mandible and fibula are obtained. The preoperative planning for the fibular transplantation to repair mandible is processing on these reconstruction model, through this virtual surgery, osteotomy line can be determined accurately. Referring to the mirror model, the fibula is cut into some parts with fixed length and position according to good occlusion and appearance. At last the prototype is made by the rapid prototyping equipment, and according to the model the individualized Ti-palate is preformed. After the resection of tumor the Ti-palate, combined with fibular flap, was fixed in place to reconstruct the mandible. so it makes shaping the fibula more accurate and easily to shorten the time of surgery and reduce the risk
