Abstract :
The correlation data between ohmic measurements and normalized capacity of a battery, published by various authors, is compiled and statistically analyzed for correlation factors in 5 regions between 0 and 100%. Weak correlations have been observed for some normalized capacity regions. An attempt has been made to provide a theoretical explanation for these discrepancies based on conductivity of the acid and the effect of temperature. In conclusion, the adequacy of the method (of ohmic measurements) is discussed.
