Abstract :
The geological condition of Xingshan iron district is unfavorable, for it has comparative development joint fissures, F9 fault which has compressive features. So, the stability analysis of rockmass is very necessary. Based on the engineering geological condition and weak structures, the stereo-analytical method for block theory is used to analyze the stability of rockmass and movable block for the influence of weak structures. The sliding mode of movable block is also studied by the stereo-analytical method based on block theory. The predictive results of rockmass instability are verified by monitoring method. The movable block and its sliding mode can be a basis on predictive failure and supporting of rockmass.
