Abstract :
We have developed a multi-channel/multi-wavelength photon counting instrument to perform near infrared diffuse optical spectroscopy and tomography simultaneously with a magnetic resonance scanner. The instrument has been tested with phantoms mimicking relevant breast configurations. Accuracy limits of absolute and relative optical properties determination are analyzed. Then, clinical in-vivo preliminary results are presented
