Abstract
An optically controlled microstrip patch antenna is presented by exploring the phase changes of the parasitic element to generate reconfigurable null beams. This antenna is featured with attractive performance of optically-tuned null depth, low optical power requirement, and almost unchanged impedance bandwidth. Both simulations and experimental results validate the design.
