Abstract :
Adsorption properties of new rice hull ash (RHA) pretreated by white-rot fungi for oil bleaching process were researched in this paper. The results showed that the adsorption capacity and rate of new RHA were better than that of normal RHA, and the adsorption characteristic conformed to the Freundlich thermodynamic isotherms. The variations of adsorption enthalpy, the Gibbs free energy and the entropy could be calculated according to the thermodynamic function. The results showed that the adsorption was an exothermic process which was both monolayer adsorption but also the multi-molecular layer adsorption with the coexistence of physical and chemical adsorption. Temperature elevation and adsorbent dosage increase could promote adsorption.
