Abstract :
Phenanthroindolizidine and phenanthroquinolizidine alkaloids have attracted much attention because of their antitumor, antiamoebic, antibacterial, and antifungal activities. This paper summarizes the chemical structure, biological activities and synthesis of these two types of alkaloids.
