Abstract
A study is presented of log-periodic dipole antennas (LPDAs) generalized to have a constant angle twist ψ about the array axis in each period. Simulations show that ψ = 120° can produce circular polarization with good axial ratio, gain bandwidth, and impedance bandwidth, but with fewer elements than a crossed-dipole LPDA.
