  • Abstract
    In this paper, the distribution of the temperature field and flow field is derived for a cable transformer´s coil by solving the finite element equations. Based on this, the thermal circuit model with distribution parameters is built up. Using this model corresponding to various loads provides the temperature distribution. In the end, the model is proved to be valid through the comparison between the calculation results and the measurement results. The study provides a feasible way to investigate the temperature characteristics for the cable transformer.
