Abstract :
An experimental investigation of nonintrusive two-phase electrohydrodynamical pump "AW type EHD pump" was conducted. The experimental analyses of electrohydrodynamically induced gas-liquid interfacial liquid flow in the reservoir were carried out by a tracer particle image velocimetry and the numerically calculated electric field strength. The liquid flow distribution was analyzed by non-dimensional EHD parameters. These results of the electrohydrodynamically induced liquid flow phenomenon of the gas-liquid interface were shown quantitatively. The electrohydrodynamic characteristics based on interfacial momentum transfer effects on liquid-phase fluid motion were discussed.
