Abstract :
Modern Technology has witnessed an upsurge of various interdisciplinary fields. Robotics technology which is a synergistic combination of different technical fields has made umpteen contributions in modern day life in numerous sectors. This paper endeavors to make one such contribution in the regular domiciliary activity of floor cleaning by illustrating a simple and inexpensive floor sweeping and wiping technique. This paper is both robotics and mechatronics based. Although the cleaning part is automatic, the movement of the robot in the room in its attempt to cover every nook and corner of the room is autonomous.
