Title :
Wide-band EDFAs for terabit DWDM systems
Author_Institution :

Abstract :
Summary form only given. Currently, WDM optical communications is moving from point-to-point systems to optical networks. Far optical networks with cascaded filters, wide channel spacing may be advantageous. The wide bandwidth of the ultra wide band optical amplifiers could support larger numbers of channels than at present even with larger channel spacings
