Abstract :
In order to understand the content of metal elements in leaf, stem and inflorescence of Elsholtzia cypriani, the samples were digested by microwave oven and 14 elements (Ca, K, Mg, Na, Fe, Mn, Sr, Zn, Ni, Cu, Se, Pb, Cd, Be) were determined by inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES). The results showed that the standard curves for 14 elements detected were with good linearity, the measuring method was with high precision; The 8 elements (Ca, K, Mg, Na, Fe, Mn, Sr, Zn) which are essential to human body, were detected in the leaf and inflorescence of Elsholtzia cypriani, but 7 of them (Ca, K, Mg, Na, Fe, Mn, Sr) were detected in the stem; Among the three aerial parts of Elsholtzia cypriani, the contents of Ca, K, Mg, Na, Fe, Mn, Sr, Zn in the leaf part were the most, but in the stem they were the least; The element Ni was determined both in the stem and inflorescence, but the content (24.084 mg · kg-1) in the stem was much higher than it in the inflorescence (1.891mg · kg-1), Cu and Se were not determined in the three parts; Among the three metal elements (Pb, Cd, Be) which were harmful to human body, Pb and Cd were only found in the leaf part and the contents of them (0.488 mg · kg-1 and 0.220 mg · kg-1, respectively) were low, the element (Be) was not determined in all the tree parts.
