  • Abstract
Using the fresh pollen of Jasminum nudiflorum as test material, germination in vitro, I2-kI staining and TTC staining methods were used to determine the fresh pollen ability. The relationship between pollen germination and morphology was studied, effects of different storage on the pollen germination were studied too. The results show that there was a certain correlation between pollen germination and morphology. The culture media with different concentration of sucrose and boric had good effects on the pollen germination. The pollen germinating percentage reached the highest after incubated on the media supplemented with 25% sucrose and 0.005% Boric acid, the germination of pollen reached 91.04%. The pollen vitality of Jasminum nudiflorum gradually decreased as store time goes on, the best method to keep vitality of pollen was at 80°C, the storage stability of the pollen lasted for 26d.
