Abstract
The biofilm thickness reflects not only the biomass of biofilm in biofilm reactor, but also influences the transmission of oxygen and reactant in it, so it is an important thermal physics parameter in biofilm reactor, but people has not yet found an effective method to measure the biofilm thickness for its difficult technologic problem, therefore, the study on the measurement of biofilm thickness and its realized technology is very important. The paper introduces the significance of measurement for the biofilm thickness in biofilm reactor and in the bio-immunity testing process, several kinds of measurement principle of which are summarized, and their advantages and disadvantages are compared, especially the fiber biosensors used to measure the biofilm thickness is expatiated, then the developed trend of the measurement for the biofilm thickness and its realized technology are expected.
