Abstract :
An absolute encoding method is presented which adapted to large scale non-contact linear measurement based on research of the encoding method of traditional absolute encoder. The measurement of large scale displacement is achieved utilized the absolute periodically encoding method based on the measurement pole with two different cycling absolute position encoding code tracks. The method has some characteristics such as simple encoding track, high precision, low cost and so on. So the method is propitious to generalizability and application.
