Abstract :
A new excitation method using a solder-through probe is used to excite the cylindrical ring dielectric resonator antenna (DRA). The return loss, radiation pattern and antenna gain are studied experimentally. A simple formula for estimation of the TM01δ mode resonant frequency of the DRA is presented
