Abstract
With MIMO antennas, the beamforming technique improves the received signal power which increases the RB´s capacity and reduces the neighbouring cell users´ interference on the cell edge, but the performance of the beamforming technique on a frequency depends on all the channels of involved UEs (User Equipment). We explain that a smart UE scheduling can increase the capacity improvement with the beamforming technique. For this reason, in this paper we propose to combine the beamforming technique with Resource Block (RB) allocation algorithms to improve the performance on the cell edge in OFDMA networks.
