  • Abstract
We propose an algorithm which can separate the conductive and dry-band arc components of the leakage current flowing on an insulating surface according to the current waveform distortion. A mathematical parameter "Similarity, S" is introduced for the function of waveform distortion. We have also developed a measurement system capable of separating the leakage current into conduction and dry-band components and confirmed the effectiveness of the system through application to a Rotating Wheel Dip Test.
