Abstract :
In this paper, reduced-rank multistage Wiener filter (MWF) is applied to multipath channel equalization for ultra wideband (UWB) systems in the presence of inter symbol interference (ISI) and multiple access interference (MAI). Given limited training sample support in the case of practical implementation, a tap selection based MWF is proposed and shown to achieve improved performance with reduced computational cost compared with a standard MWF
