Abstract :
This paper gives an overview of the GaAs IC developments dedicated to automotive radar applications. First, a short description of the car radar configuration and functionalities is given. Then there is an analysis of the key requirements down to component level. Finally, a status is proposed on the developments, showing how the GaAs MMIC technologies can bring efficient solutions.
