Abstract :
A system for analysing can lids is presented. Images of the can lids are captured by a CCD camera. The images are then analysed to determined whether the cans are with or without imprinted text on the lid. The system is also capable of detecting whether the can is viewed from the top or the bottom. The performance of the system is promising yet there are possibilities for improvements
