Abstract
We consider the issue of stability for retarded delay equations with multiple delays. We show how a renorming of the energy state space can be used to obtain a dissipative inequality which implies exponential stability of the solution semigroup associated with the delay differential equation. We provide a detailed proof for the scalar case with two delays, then indicate how the proof extends to systems and multiple delays
