Abstract
Love wave propagation in a cylindrically layered magneto-electro-elastic structure where a piezomagnetic (or piezoelectric) material layer with initial stress is bonded to a piezoelectric(or piezomagnetic) substrate is investigated analytically. By means of transformation, the governing equations of the coupled waves are reduced to Bessel and Laplace equations. The phase velocity is numerically calculated for the magneto- electrically open and short cases, respectively, for different initial stresses. The distributions of the phase velocity, group velocity, and magneto-electromechanical coupling factor are calculated and discussed.
