Abstract
Non-transparent fully reflecting surface (FRS) as superstrate has been studied for the first time to design a resonance gain antenna (RGA). A dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) has been used as the primary radiator. FRS superstrate having its size of the order resonant wavelength has been demonstrated to achieve up to 12.2 dBi gain over as much as 22% impedance bandwidth.
