Abstract :
As more industries recognize the benefits of environmentally friendly technology, chemists look for ways to design chemicals and chemical processes that pose less danger to human health and environment. This paper describes an industry-university alliance in which computer-based training was developed for military chemists. The training tool entitled "Green Process Design for Military Chemists" is being fielded by the Department of Defense for design of environmentally preferable chemical process, practices, and production. The tool has wide application for chemists in all fields.
