Abstract :
Guided-wave components are essential elements in optical fiber communication and signal processing systems. For 1.3-1.5 μm wavelength applications, it is of interest to develop low loss optical waveguides on InP substrate. In this work, low-loss InGaAs-InP planar photoelastic waveguides using metal stresser stripes have been demonstrated for the first time
