Abstract
Software testing often results in delays to market and high cost without assuring product reliability. Software reliability engineering can be applied to carefully engineer testing to overcome these weaknesses. This application is often referred to as software-reliability-engineered testing. We present several case studies illustrating the application of software reliability engineering to testing. We take a quick overview of the field, to better understand the terms used and procedures discussed in the case studies
