Abstract
A novel design method of a printed leaky wave antenna for gain enhancement is presented in this work. By adding lumped elements on the edges of a thin PCB PRS antenna, the broadside gain can be improved by nearly 1.5dB. This work covers the design concept, the full-wave simulation, and the measurement on the developed prototypes. The measurement results show a good agreement to the simulated results.
