Abstract
Diffractive optical elements (DOEs) and computer generated holograms (CGHs) can be fabricated with microelectronic technology. Therefore, they can play important roles in the packaging of optically interconnected multi-chip-modules as well as other electronic systems. In this paper, we will identify the varieties of DOEs and CGHs needed in single- and multi-stage optoelectronic interconnection networks, and present several fabricated examples
