Abstract :
In the presented study the rigorous solution of the problem in closed-form is obtained. The boundary-value method using the property of completeness of angular functions on a certain interval is employed to obtain the solution. The back radar cross section (BRCS) of the structure is evaluated asymptotically and numerical results with controlled accuracy are presented in case of H-polarized waves. It is shown that the BRCS of a structure with a two-layer dielectric covering has oscillated character in a wide frequency range.
