Abstract :
Testing of power quality monitoring functions and devices has an important role to ensure that they are going to operate as expected during different electric power system events. Different power quality detection functions require different testing methods and tools. Automatic testing tools allow significant improvement in the efficiency of the testing and at the same time help a user with limited experience better understand the characteristics of power quality events and operation of power quality monitoring devices. The paper describes different operating and testing modes of such tools. Automatic generation of reports that includes the characteristics of the performed tests and the results is discussed also in the paper.
