Abstract
The design of diffractive optical elements is presented in light of the special needs of signal processing applications. Three applications are considered: correlation filter design for limited-modulation spatial light modulators, diffractive conical lens design for a scale-space processor, and hybrid lens design to correct for chromatic aberration and to provide stable thermal behavior
