  • Abstract
Computed tomography (CT) technology has been extensively studied for years and has a very important application in the field of explosives detection on airport passengers. Normally, incomplete projection data are acquired and the iterative approach has a major potential to achieve a superior performance in handling this kind of data. Aiming at reconstruction problem of incomplete projection data, this paper transfers algebraic reconstruction technology to solving nonlinear unrestricted extreme problem, and utilizes particle swarm optimization method with strong searching ability as searching strategy to obtain the reconstruction image. Some experiments with different projection data were implemented and the results show that the proposed algorithm in this paper could improve reconstruction quality and is an effective method.
