Abstract :
An integrated laser radar receiver-TDC chip including both the analogue receiver channel and the time-to-digital converter has been designed and inserted into a pulsed time-of-flight prototype for distance measurements. The circuit has been implemented in 0.13 μm CMOS technology. The linearity and single-shot precision are ±5 mm and 15 mm, respectively, within the 1:10 000 dynamic range of the received echo amplitude.
