  • Abstract
As the network development, network size also will be increased. This is bound to incur huge overhead and instability. In the ForCES (Forwarding and Control Element Separation) routing system, of course, the problems also exists. Here, we use the virtual technology to solve the problems. We set up multiple virtual FEs (Forwarding Element) in one host and make a backup copy of FE. This not only saves space and resources, brings convenience, but also increases the stability of the system. First, this article introduces OpenVZ virtual machines and ForCES system simply. Next, we design the backup virtual FE in the ForCES router. Finally, we build the test platform and test. The plan proves to be feasible.
