Abstract :
The aim of the IEEE International Symposiums on Consumer Electronics is to bring together top technical professionals from the consumer electronics industry and academia to exchange ideas and results of recent work on systems, circuits, technologies and applications in all areas of consumer electronics. The full program of ISCE2006 offers 15 papers sessions with topics ranging over Automotive and Home Electronics, Multimedia, Communications, User and Human Interfaces, Manufacturing and Test, Digital Rights Management, with particular emphasis on Networks and Mobile Applications. There is also a tutorial session which is dedicated to Mobile Television. ISCE2006 has attracted more than 200 submissions and accepted 140 papers from 22 different countries. Generally speaking, 58% of the papers are from Asia and 39% from Europe. South Korea is the most represented country, followed by the Russian Federation, Taiwan, China and the United Kingdom. The program firmly maintains the reputation of the IEEE International Symposiums on Consumer Electronics as one of the most extensive and informative events in the annual international calendar. ISCE2006, the tenth in the series, is the first ever IEEE Consumer Electronics event in St.Petersburg, the Russian Federation.
