  • Abstract
The use of fibre-optic systems for long-haul telecommunications is well established. Now there is firm evidence that optical fibres are increasingly being deployed in the “local loop” (that part of the network linking telecommunication central offices (GO) to customers´ premises) and consequently we may expect rapid growth in the fibre-optic market. BT&D is at the forefront of local loop component design and its coaxial laser is well placed to meet the growing market´s needs
