Abstract :
Data pre-treatment is very valuable for system identification, particularly for nonlinear system modeling. This paper presents a data compression procedure using dual tree complex wavelet transform (DTCWT) for plant data pre-treatment in the context of system identification. The data is compressed to a few critical complex wavelet coefficients and denoised by the use of DTCWT. A simulation example is provided to demonstrate the performance and capabilities of the proposed approach
