Abstract
This paper considers a computational mechanism to approximate a very restricted class of polynomial nonlinear system with a reduced order model. First a necessary condition for the nonlinear system to have a reduced model is given. Then a heuristic approach which utilizes the necessary condition is established. The method computes a reduced model for the nonlinear system such that the error model is finite gain Lscr2 stable
